The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR) extends its warmest congratulations on the 69th Milad (anniversary) of YLPI Riau. The Islamic Education Foundation (Yayasan Lembaga Pendidikan Islam/YLPI) Riau turned 69 on 30 March 2026. It was founded on 30 March 1957.

Sixty-nine years is a long journey. Over these decades, the foundation has supported many Islamic education efforts across Riau. One of them is Universitas Islam Riau, which operates under its auspices. For this reason, FH UIR is proud to be part of this long journey.

Progress, Service, and Blessings on the YLPI Riau Anniversary

This year’s commemoration carries the message “Maju, Berkhidmat, dan Berkah”, which translates to “Progress, Service, and Blessings”. The message feels close to the world of education. After all, we judge an institution’s progress not only by its age. What matters more is the benefit it brings to society.

The word berkhidmat, for instance, reminds us that education is a form of service. Meanwhile, berkah is a prayer that every step brings goodness. This applies to the foundation, the university, and the students it nurtures.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H., also conveyed these congratulations on behalf of the entire FH UIR academic community. The message expresses gratitude as well as respect for the founders and administrators of the foundation over the years.

Hopes at 69

At this milestone, the FH UIR family hopes the foundation will keep growing, serving, and bringing blessings. May it continue to nurture an excellent generation with strong integrity. Furthermore, may the spirit of service upheld since 1957 remain the foundation for every institution under its care.

As part of this big family, FH UIR wishes to keep playing its role through legal education that upholds Islamic values, justice, and integrity. In this way, we hope its graduates will be both academically capable and of good character when they return to society.

Happy 69th Milad, YLPI Riau. Progress, Service, and Blessings.
