Student Activities

Law faculty students consist of various diverse organizations as a forum for channeling talents, inspiration, aspirations, and democracy in the context of developing personal abilities other than academic abilities. By joining students in student organizations according to their interests and talents, students are required to actively communicate, interact, and innovate in producing various activities. This allows them to produce a variety of activities during their time as students, which will help them later on when they apply their knowledge to benefit society, the nation, and the state.

With the diversity of law faculty student organizations, there have certainly been many activities related to legal counseling, self-development, sports, the arts, and culture. Apart from that, they also actively participate in competitions such as legal debates, especially the most prestigious, namely legal debates at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. Even international competitions such as Model of United Nations (MUN), International Law and ICRC Human Rights Moot Court, International Dispute Negotiation (Intention), Summit Youth, and Exchanging Student Programs from and to foreign countries such as Australia and Germany.

Students are given initiation and encouraged to join student organizations through the initial process of accepting new students by presenting and motivating them through the presence of law faculty student alumni who have been active and successful in various professions, This creates a high level of enthusiasm among the students to participate and activate themselves in the various organizations spread throughout the law faculty. By organizing, there will be great benefits both for the personality, the organization itself, and the academic community of the law faculty at Universitas Islam Riau.
