Graduate Profile
The graduate profile produced by the Law Program at the Faculty of Law, Riau Islamic University, is as follows:
State-Employed Legal Practitioners (Judges, Prosecutors, Career Police Officers) are legal professionals who have mastered the scientific fundamentals and skills in specific fields of expertise, enabling them to identify, understand, explain, and formulate solutions to problems within their areas of expertise, while always grounding their work in faith and piety.
Independent Legal Practitioners (Attorneys/Arbitrators/Mediators): Legal practitioners who possess the desire and ability to pursue an independent career, whether in litigation or non-litigation, to support regional and national development, including providing support to corporations/companies operating within and outside Riau Province at the local, national, and international levels, and always grounded in faith and piety.
As a Notary/PPAT (State Official appointed by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency). A practitioner who possesses the ability to draft authentic deeds regarding all acts, agreements, and decisions required by laws and regulations and/or desired by the parties concerned to be stated in authentic deeds; and possessing the skills to prepare authentic deeds for specific legal acts concerning land rights and ownership rights to units in multi-unit housing located within their jurisdiction, always grounded in faith and piety.
As an academic educator and facilitator of creative and innovative learning, I teach with a mastery of legal concepts and methodologies, and possess the ability to utilize information technology, media, and learning tools for both practical and academic applications in the field of law. I embody the spirit of Pancasila, possess leadership qualities, and am always grounded in faith and piety.
As a researcher analyzing issues in the field of legal science, embodying the spirit of Pancasila with expertise in legal science and mastery of information technology, and always grounded in faith and piety.
Legal Drafters (Legal Drafters/Experts/Contract Drafters): Graduates who possess the ability to apply the knowledge, technology, and skills within their field of expertise as a basis for resolving various emerging legal issues in society, and who consistently ground their work in faith and piety.
The results of the evaluation of the graduate profile based on quality performance standards and the mapping of graduate competencies to ensure relevance to market needs indicate that legal practitioners must be proficient in foreign languages; therefore, this graduate profile must be reviewed to enhance the curriculum in accordance with the vision and mission of the Law Program at the Faculty of Law, University of Islam Riau.

A. Core Competencies
Capable of performing duties and responsibilities in the field of legal practice, such as drafting lawsuits, drafting contracts, drafting regulations and legislation, preparing legal opinions, and various other practical skills in the legal field.
Capable of performing duties and responsibilities in the field of law enforcement and justice for the community effectively and consistently.
Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities as a government official effectively and professionally.
Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities in handling legal matters in the private sector effectively and professionally.
Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities as a researcher in accordance with one’s field of study in a professional manner.
B. Supporting Competencies
Be able to apply authentic Islamic values in the workplace, in social interactions, and within the community, nation, and state, thereby serving as a role model in society.
Possess proficiency in the English language.
