Academic Guidelines
Dalam menjalankan proses belajar mengajar pada Fakultas Hukum Universitas Islam Riau, Maka dilaksanakan dengan berdasarkan pedoman akademik untuk setiap semesternya, berikut merupakan buku Panduan Akademik yang bisa diunduh oleh para mahasiswa.
Sistem Pendidikan
FH UIR menerapkan sistem pendidikan Satuan Kredit Semester ( SKS ). Penerapan sistem SKS memliki keunggulan dan kelebihan yang dapat di manfaatkan oleh peserta didik, antara lain :
- Terbuka kesempatan bagi mahasiswa yang pintar dan rajin untuk menyelesaikan studi dengan masa studi 3,5 tahun.
- Memberikan kemungkinan kepada mahasiswa untuk memilih matakuliah yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakatnya ataupun keterkaitan dengan judul penelitian skripsinya masing-masing.
- Jaminan adanya mimbar akademis.
- Memberikan peluang kepada mahasiswa untuk mengambangkan minat dan bakatnya di dalam bidang akademik dan non akademik.
- Sistem evaluasi kemajuan belajar mahasiswa dapat diselenggarakan dengan lebih baik dan sempurna.
Dalam perkembangannya yang ada, bahwa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Islam Riau dalam membangun sistem pendidikan hukum selau berpedoman pada aturan dan tunyutan yang ada, baik pada skala nasional maupun lokal, artinya pengembangan pendidikan hukum sebagai basis penyelengaraan pendidikan tinggi selalu mengikuti tuntutan melalui acuan regulasi yang ada, seperti surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidkan Nasional Nomor 232/U/2000 tentang Pedoman Penyusunan Kurikulum pendidikan Tinggi dan penilaian hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Islam Riau telah mneyesuaikan kurikulum dengan tuntutan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi.
Proses Belajar Mangajar
Proses belajar mengajr dilaksanakan sesuai dengan sistem SKS .Mahasiswa yang mengkuti perkuliahan harus telah mnegisi Kartu Rencana Studi ( KRS ) dengan persetujuan dosen Pembimbing Akademis (PA). Proses belajar mengajar dilakukan dengan cara tatap muka di dalam kelas, Online melalui Zoom, Google Meeting, Google classroom, WhatsApp dan lain sebagainya. Durasi Perkuliahan dalam satu kali pertemuan di tentukan dengan penghitungan sebagai berikut :
- Untuk 2 SKS maka hitungan per SKS adalah 50 menit x 2 = 100 Menit. Jadi perkuliahan untuk satu matakulia dalam satu minggu adalah selama 100 menit.
- Untuk 3 SKS di Fakultas Hukum Universitas Islam Riau dijalankan selama 2 kali pertemuan dalam seminggu, kalau diikuti ketentuan diatas, maka perkuliahan akan berlangsung selama 3 x 50 Menit = 150 Menit, namun dalam realitasnya juga berlangsung lebih, yaitu 2 x 100 menit dalam 2 kali pertemuan dala seminggu.
Dalam perkuliahan diwajibkan kepada Dosen untuk mmmebagi waktu tatap muka pada setiap pertemuan waktu tatap muka pada setiap pertemuan dengan pembagian waktu kelompok.
- Dalam bentuk paparan di kelas, baik oleh Dosen maupun Mahasiswa.
- Dalam bentuk diskusi dan tanya jawab.
- Pembebanan berupa tugas mandiri atau tugas kelompok.
Pelaksanaan perkuliahan tidak hanya dilakukan secara konvensional melalui tatap muka dikelas, tetapi juga dapat dilakukan secara online, antara lain melalui email dan google class, serta menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp, Line, dan media online. Pembinaan terhadap Dosen-dosen pemula, maka sistem pengampu mata kuliah dilakukan dengan sistem team teaching dan asistensi dan efisien.
- Sistem Team Teaching, dilakukan dengan menetapkan seorang Pengampu Matakuliah dengan kepangkatan akademik minimal Lektor Kepala, yang melibatkan Pengampu lain dengan kepangkatan akademik yang lebih rendah untuk mengampu mata kuliah tersebut. Sistem team teaching ini juga dimaksudkan untuk penguatan pembinaan terhadap Dosen maupun mata kuliah yang diampu, berdasarkan standar-standar perkuliahan yang telah ditetapkan.
- Sistem atensi, dilakukan terhadap kepangkatan akademik yang berbeda dimana setiap Dosen Pemula umunya sebagai Asisten terlebih dahulu untuk matakuliah tertentu sebelumnya akhirnya diberikan kewenangan untuk mengampu mata kuliah secara mandiri.
A. Common Ethics in the University
To achieve tranquility and order in the teaching and learning process, every student must:
- Adhere to all rules and regulations established and issued by Universitas Islam Riau..
- Uphold the good name of the alma mater, religion, and nation.
- Behave commendably and avoid actions that may cause accidents, damage, chaos, or suffering to others.
- Not interfere with the smooth administration or obstruct officials of Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) or government officials carrying out their duties.
- Prohibited from taking, damaging, defiling, or destroying the property of Universitas Islam Riau or using it without permission.
- Prohibited from verbally or in writing insulting or condemning members of the Universitas Islam Riau campus community.
- Prohibited from inciting or making false accusations that may incite or cause riots or chaos.
- Prohibited from bringing into the campus objects that may endanger the safety of campus residents, such as firearms, sharp objects, explosives, and poisons.
B. Ethics and Lecture Regulations
Every student attending lectures must comply with the following provisions:
- Attend educational activities in the form of regular lectures, seminars/group discussions, tutorials, assignments, and other activities under the guidance of the supervising lecturer.
- Dress appropriately during lectures. Students are not allowed to wear T-shirts. Female students must dress modestly, wear Islamic attire, cover their heads, and are not allowed to wear tight-fitting clothing.
- Wear shoes during lectures.
- Attend lectures in an orderly manner, and disruptive behavior is not allowed.
- Sign the attendance register before the lecture begins. The register is signed at the beginning of each class.
- Arrive in class 5 (five) minutes before the lecture starts. Lateness of more than 15 (fifteen) minutes will be considered absent unless there is prior notification.
- Students who are absent without permission (unexcused) for 20% (twenty percent) of the total face-to-face sessions are not allowed to take the exam.
- Students have the right to request the Lecture Implementation Unit (SAP) from the respective lecturer before the lecture begins.
- Students have the right to request lecture materials from the respective lecturer.
- Students have the right to ask questions to the lecturer. Questions should be presented in a polite manner.
- Students are prohibited from giving anything, such as money or valuable items, to the lecturers related to the course passing.
- Lecturers have the right to take strict action if students violate the above provisions.
Examination Regulations
- Examination participants are students who have completed their Registration, mandatory to bring the Study Plan (with the latest color passport photo attached) signed by the Academic Advisor, and have fulfilled the obligation of paying the credit fee;
- Examination participants are students whose names are listed in their respective examination rooms;
- Examination participants are required to be punctual according to the scheduled examination timetable. Lateness of more than 15 minutes from the specified schedule is not allowed to participate in the examination;
- Examination participants are not allowed to bring personal items into the examination room, except writing tools, Study Plan, and Examination Card;
- Examination participants are not allowed to activate mobile phones, laptops/notebooks, and similar devices during the examination;
- Examination participants are not allowed to cheat during the examination; those who violate this rule will face strict consequences (not passing the relevant exam/grade of E);
- Male examination participants should be dressed neatly, wearing a white shirt (without patterns), tie, and black cotton pants. Female examination participants should wear a white kebaya, black/batik/songket, and a green hijab/scarf/shawl.
