Pekanbaru, July 8, 2025 – The Faculty of Law at the Islamic University of Riau (UIR) warmly welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Law, Bung Hatta University, Padang. The visit, which took place at the UIR campus on Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, Pekanbaru, was part of an academic and networking initiative aimed at strengthening institutional ties and fostering collaboration in legal education.
The delegation was received directly by the leadership of the Faculty of Law UIR, including the Dean, Vice Deans, Head of the Law Studies Program, as well as faculty members and academic staff. The event began with a welcome session and a presentation introducing the Faculty of Law UIR, highlighting the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, the faculty’s “Excellent” accreditation status, and its ongoing internationalization efforts.
During an interactive discussion session, students from Bung Hatta University’s Faculty of Law enthusiastically posed a variety of questions to UIR faculty members.
These questions were thoroughly answered by UIR faculty members, who also shared best practices implemented within the faculty, including legal clinics, moot court training, as well as partnerships with legal institutions and alumni networks.
The visit concluded with a group photo session and the exchange of souvenirs between the two faculties as a symbol of friendship and a commitment to future collaboration. The visit is expected to be the beginning of broader cooperation in the areas of legal education, research, and student development.
