Pekanbaru, September 18, 2025 – The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), is holding a Grand Lecture for the Class of 2025 new students with the theme “Fundamentals of Legal Studies.” The event will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the 3rd Floor of Soeman HS Building, Faculty of Law UIR, starting at 09:00 AM until completion.
This academic event features two distinguished figures from the Faculty of Law UIR. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H, Dean of the Faculty of Law, will deliver the opening remarks and academic orientation for the new students. Meanwhile, H.M. Husnu Abadi, S.H., M.Hum., Ph.D, lecturer of the Faculty of Law, will serve as the keynote speaker, presenting material on the fundamentals of legal studies.
As part of the welcoming agenda for new students, this grand lecture is expected to provide them with a solid foundation in legal studies as well as motivation to pursue their academic journey with enthusiasm and commitment.
