Pekanbaru, September 24, 2025 — The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), continues to strengthen its commitment to international collaboration and academic excellence through the Foreign Professorship from Germany, carrying the theme “Consumer Protection.”
The event featured guest lecturer Prof. Stefan Koos from Universität der Bundeswehr München, Germany, a renowned expert in consumer protection law. It took place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 13.30 to 15.00 WIB, at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H., Dean of the Faculty of Law UIR, emphasized the importance of understanding consumer protection law in a global context. He highlighted that such programs reflect the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to broaden students’ perspectives on international legal issues relevant to modern developments.
This Foreign Professorship program not only provided students with valuable insights from an international academic perspective but also strengthened academic and research cooperation between the Faculty of Law UIR and foreign universities.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Law UIR reaffirms its dedication to producing competent, globally minded graduates capable of addressing legal challenges in the era of globalization.
