ORMAWA and UKM of FH UIR Hold Fundraising Action for Natural Disaster Victims in Sumatra

he Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR), through its Student Organizations (ORMAWA) and Student Activity Units (UKM), in collaboration with the Acting Governor of FH UIR, carried out a fundraising action as a form of concern and solidarity for victims of natural disasters affecting several regions in Sumatra.

This humanitarian activity was held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, involving students from various ORMAWA and UKM within the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau. The fundraising was conducted at several strategic locations in Pekanbaru, including Riau Car Free Day (CFD), Simpang Tiga Traffic Light, Diponegoro Traffic Light (Balai Serindit), and SKA Traffic Light.

Through this activity, FH UIR students demonstrated empathy, social awareness, and solidarity toward communities affected by natural disasters. The funds collected are expected to help ease the burden of the victims and serve as a tangible contribution from students in humanitarian efforts.

This fundraising action also served as a learning platform for students to apply humanitarian values and community service. It is hoped that this activity will become a source of good deeds for all involved and provide real benefits for those in need.
