The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), officially inaugurated the Executive Board of the Student Executive Body (Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa/BEM) of the Faculty of Law for the 2025/2026 term. The inauguration ceremony was held solemnly at the Faculty of Law UIR, marking the commencement of a new leadership period in student governance.
The inauguration serves as a strategic momentum to strengthen the role of students as partners of the faculty in supporting academic development, student affairs, and community engagement. Through the newly inaugurated leadership, BEM is expected to function as a platform for student aspirations while initiating innovative and impactful programs within the Faculty of Law.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau, including the Dean of the Faculty of Law Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H, Vice Dean I Dr. Selvi Harvia Santri, S.H., M.H, Vice Dean II Dr. H. Zulfikri Toguan, S.H., M.H, and Vice Dean III Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkarnaini Umar, S.H., S.Ag., MIS. Their presence reflected the faculty’s strong support for the sustainability and development of student organizations.
Carrying the values of integrity, collaboration, and courage to uphold what is right, the newly inaugurated BEM Executive Board is expected to carry out its mandate professionally, cohesively, and responsibly. The BEM of the Faculty of Law UIR for the 2025/2026 term is anticipated to contribute actively to fostering a dynamic and constructive student environment.
Through this inauguration, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau, expresses its strong hope that the Student Executive Body will continue to serve as a strategic partner of the faculty in realizing the institution’s vision and mission, while reinforcing the role of students as agents of change.
