Learning Facilities
The Law Program at the Faculty of Law, Islamic University of Riau (UIR), has two buildings: Building A and Building B.
Bulding A :
- Building A has three floors. On the first floor, there are 4 rooms for the leadership (Dean and 3 Vice Deans), the Program Study room, the Program Study secretary room, administrative room, faculty meeting room, faculty member and staff room, and a seminar room (for symposiums, book discussions, and other academic activities). Some of the rooms on the first floor are used for lectures, such as rooms 1.10, 1.12, 1.13, 1.14, and 1.16.
- The second floor of Building A has 6 rooms for each Department Chair, 1 DEMA (Student Executive Board) room, and one administrative room (IT). Some of the rooms on the second floor are used for lectures, such as rooms 2.01, 2.03, 2.04, 2.07, and 2.08.
- The third floor of Building A has lecture rooms such as rooms 3.01, 3.02, 3.03, 3.04, 3.05, 3.06, and an auditorium with a capacity of 500 people used for general lectures, national or international seminars, and other academic activities.
Bulding B :
- Building B also has three floors and is used for Law Labs. On the first floor, there are moot courtrooms with all necessary equipment, rooms for contract drafting practice, a common room, a journal room, and a professor room.
- The second floor of Building B has 3 rooms for final project seminars, a Legal Aid Society (LBH) room, and a Student Executive Board (BEM) room.
- Classroom facilities include whiteboards, AC, projectors, fans, desks, chairs, and adequate lighting. Meeting room facilities include LCD screens, sound systems, projectors, AC, etc.
- The Law Program library at the Faculty of Law, UIR, is well-equipped with literature books, LCD screens, journals, magazines, and adequate internet connectivity.
Outside the buildings, the Law Program at the Faculty of Law, UIR, has a spacious green area that is serene, beautiful, and comfortable. Behind the buildings, there is a large parking area and rows of gazebos equipped with electricity, allowing students to use these facilities for discussions, reading, browsing, completing assignments, socializing, and other academic activities. The facilities are provided by the Riau Educational Foundation (YLPI) and maintained by the same. The Law Program at the Faculty of Law, UIR, has sufficient funding according to the Annual Activity Plan made by the Law Program every year. This plan aims to determine the budget and the four-fold activities of the Law Program, thus fostering better academic interaction among the academic community with improved outcomes.
