Pekanbaru – The academic community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR) extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Dr. Ferdi, S.H., M.H., Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Andalas, on his inauguration as a Full Professor (Guru Besar Tetap) in the field of International Environmental Law.
Prof. Ferdi was inaugurated on Saturday, 25 April 2026, at the Convention Hall of the Limau Manis Campus, Universitas Andalas, Padang. At the same ceremony, Universitas Andalas also inaugurated six other professors from its Faculty of Law and Faculty of Animal Husbandry.
Professorship is the highest academic rank a lecturer can attain. For FH UIR, this inauguration is more than a personal milestone; it is also welcome news for the growth of international environmental law studies in Indonesia, a field increasingly tied to real-world issues such as climate change, transboundary pollution, and natural resource management.
These congratulations are conveyed on behalf of the entire FH UIR academic community under the leadership of the Dean of FH UIR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H.
