The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR) has turned 63. On 18 April 2026, the FH UIR community celebrated the 63rd Anniversary of the Faculty of Law UIR, counting from the day the faculty was officially established on 18 April 1963.
Sixty-three years is a long journey. The faculty began as a law department within the Faculty of Religious Studies, which was later separated and established as the Faculty of Law on 18 April 1963. Since then, FH UIR has grown into one of the oldest faculties at Universitas Islam Riau and the oldest law faculty in Riau Province. A Commitment Upheld Since 1963
Over the decades, FH UIR has remained committed to shaping a generation of graduates who have integrity, knowledge, and a real contribution to the nation. These three go hand in hand. Integrity is the foundation for anyone who will one day work in the field of law. Knowledge equips them to read every problem clearly and fairly. Contribution to the nation is where both meet, when knowledge and integrity are truly felt by society.
This journey would not have been possible without the shared work of the founders, faculty leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and alumni across generations. For that reason, this anniversary is also a moment to give thanks and to honour everyone who has helped FH UIR grow.

At 63, the FH UIR family hopes the faculty will continue to excel, achieve, and be a source of shared pride. May this milestone strengthen the steps ahead in delivering legal education that upholds Islamic values, justice, and integrity.
