Pekanbaru, September 13, 2025 – The Criminal Law Student Association (HIMADANA) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) successfully organized a Legal Counseling Program with the theme “Preventive Efforts Against the Circulation and Misuse of Narcotics.” The event was held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 09.00 AM until completion at Class IIA Prison Pekanbaru.
As a student organization focusing on criminal law, HIMADANA FH UIR initiated this activity as a form of concern and contribution to addressing the ongoing issue of narcotics abuse in society. The legal counseling was aimed at providing education and awareness, particularly to inmates, regarding the dangers of narcotics and the legal consequences that follow.
Through this program, HIMADANA FH UIR seeks to reaffirm the role of law students as agents of change, committed to supporting preventive measures against narcotics misuse. It is expected that this initiative will raise legal awareness and serve as a preventive step in protecting future generations from the threat of narcotics.
