The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR), officially closed the series of activities of the Himatara Constitution Debate 2025, organized by the Constitutional Law Student Association (HIMATARA). The closing ceremony was held in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and academic spirit at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau, marking the conclusion of the 2025 constitutional debate agenda.
Carrying the theme “The Direction of Constitutional Reform: Between Public Pressure and Political Interests,” the Himatara Constitution Debate 2025 served as a strategic academic forum for students to sharpen their critical and argumentative skills, while deepening their understanding of constitutional law and contemporary state governance issues in Indonesia.
This activity is expected to generate constructive ideas and meaningful contributions from students toward the development of constitutional law, particularly in addressing the challenges of constitutional reform amid the dynamics of public demands and national political interests.
The closing event was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau, as a form of full institutional support for strengthening academic culture and student activities. The faculty leaders in attendance included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H., Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Selvi Harvia Santri, S.H., M.H., Vice Dean I; Dr. H. Zulfikri Toguan, S.H., M.H., Vice Dean II; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkarnaini Umar, S.H., S.Ag., Vice Dean III.
The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to all participants, judges, organizing committee members, and all parties who contributed and supported the successful implementation of the Himatara Constitution Debate 2025 from its opening to its closing.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau hopes to continue fostering a strong tradition of scholarly discussion and academic competition in the field of constitutional law, producing students who are critical, principled, and actively contribute to the advancement of law and constitutionalism in Indonesia.
