Faculty of Law UIR and Riau High Prosecutor’s Office Sign MoU at International Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA) 2025 Commemoration

Pekanbaru – The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR), held a seminar to commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA) 2025, which was held in conjunction with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Law UIR and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The event took place at Room 1.04, Faculty of Law Building, Universitas Islam Riau.

Carrying the theme “Eradicating Corruption for the Prosperity of the People,” the event reflected a strong commitment between higher education institutions and law enforcement agencies to strengthen anti-corruption efforts through sustainable collaboration in education, research, and community service.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Law UIR, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H., Dean of the Faculty of Law UIR; Dr. Selvi Harvia Santri, S.H., M.H., Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation; Dr. H. Zulfikri Toguan, S.H., M.H., Vice Dean II for Administration and Resources; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkarnaini Umar, S.H., S.Ag., Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation.

The seminar featured Sutikno, S.H., M.H., Head of the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he emphasized the strategic role of law enforcement in combating corruption and highlighted the importance of strong synergy among law enforcement institutions, universities, and the wider community in promoting clean, transparent, and accountable governance.

The series of activities included the official signing of the MoU between the Faculty of Law UIR and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office, panel discussions, interactive question-and-answer sessions, group photo documentation, and active participation from students, academics, and community representatives.

Through the signing of this MoU, the Faculty of Law UIR and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in legal education, anti-corruption awareness, and the development of integrity-based law enforcement.

The commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day 2025 is expected to serve as a significant momentum in fostering an anti-corruption culture within the academic community and in reinforcing joint efforts to achieve public prosperity through clean and accountable governance.
