The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR), demonstrated its strong commitment to humanitarian service by deploying academic staff and student volunteers directly to disaster-affected areas in North Sumatra and West Sumatra. This humanitarian mission involved the Academic Community of FH UIR, in collaboration with Student Organizations (Ormawa) and Student Activity Units (UKM), who took part as on-site disaster relief volunteers.
The FH UIR volunteer team was present in the field to deliver aid directly to affected communities through established humanitarian posts, ensuring that assistance reached those in need promptly and effectively. This direct involvement reflects FH UIR’s dedication not only to academic excellence but also to meaningful community engagement and social responsibility.
Through this volunteer-based humanitarian action, FH UIR aims to foster values of humanity, empathy, solidarity, and social awareness among its academic community, particularly students, encouraging them to actively respond to social and humanitarian challenges.
FH UIR hopes that the assistance provided by its volunteers will help ease the suffering of disaster victims and bring hope, strength, and encouragement to communities facing difficult circumstances.
