Togetherness and Blessings in the Iftar Gathering of the Faculty of Law, Islamic University of Riau

March 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Law at the Islamic University of Riau (UIR) once again held an iftar gathering filled with togetherness and blessings. The event took place in the Faculty of Law Lobby at 16:30 until completion and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Vice Deans, Head of the Law Study Program and Secretary, professors, lecturers, and faculty staff members.

The event began with a welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, who expressed gratitude for the successful organization of this gathering. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of maintaining relationships and strengthening brotherhood within the academic environment, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. “This event is not just about breaking the fast together but also serves as an opportunity to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and enhance social awareness,” he stated.

After the speech, the event continued with a short Islamic lecture (kultum) delivered by one of the faculty’s lecturers. In his lecture, he reminded attendees of the importance of patience and sincerity in observing Ramadan and instilling good values in daily life. The lecture lasted until the call to Maghrib prayer, providing an opportunity for attendees to further reflect on the meaning of Ramadan.

As the time for iftar arrived, all participants enjoyed the prepared meals together in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Laughter and light discussions filled the moment, reflecting the close-knit academic community of the Faculty of Law at UIR.

As an act of social responsibility, the event concluded with the distribution of donations as part of the “Sharing Blessings” program from the Faculty of Law. These donations were given to those in need as part of the faculty’s efforts to spread kindness and care during this holy month.

This iftar gathering is hoped to continue as an annual tradition that strengthens togetherness and fosters a spirit of sharing within the Faculty of Law at the Islamic University of Riau.
