Pekanbaru, July 20, 2025 — As part of its promotional efforts, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) actively participated in the Car Free Day (CFD) event held on Sunday morning, July 20, 2025. The event took place along Jl. Jenderal Sudirman, in front of the Bank Indonesia (BI) building in Pekanbaru, from 06:00 to 09:00 AM WIB.
This initiative aimed to bring the university closer to the public by offering a variety of services and engaging activities. One of the main highlights was the free legal consultation provided directly by lecturers from the Faculty of Law. Attendees also had the chance to win attractive door prizes prepared by the organizers.
In collaboration with PMC Hospital, the event also featured mini-lab health checkups and free medical consultations, making it a well-rounded public service effort.
The lecturers wore sage-colored Faculty of Law Anniversary shirts to show unity and institutional identity. Their presence was warmly welcomed by the community, who took the opportunity to exercise, seek legal advice, and check on their health.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Law at UIR hopes to strengthen its presence and reputation as a leading institution for legal education that is open, accessible, and engaged with the public.
