UIR Faculty of Law Signs MoA with the Center for Constitutional Studies (PUSaKO) of Andalas University and Holds Law Seminar

Pekanbaru, October 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), held a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony with the Center for Constitutional Studies (PUSaKO), Andalas University. The event was also combined with a Law Faculty Seminar carrying the theme “Dynamics and Challenges in Regulating Civil Society Organizations.”

The event took place on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Room 1.04 of the Faculty of Law.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law UIR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosyidi Hamzah, S.H., M.H., attended and delivered an opening remark during the event.

The seminar featured Dr. Charles Simabura, S.H., M.H., as the keynote speaker from PUSaKO Andalas University. In his presentation, he discussed the legal dynamics and challenges surrounding the regulation of civil society organizations in Indonesia, particularly in relation to democracy and the right of association.

Through this collaboration, the Faculty of Law UIR aims to strengthen academic partnerships with Andalas University, especially in the areas of research, community service, and constitutional and state law studies.
