Pekanbaru, May 15, 2025 — The prestigious National Law Debate Competition GEMA LEX-A 2025, organized by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Riau (FH UIR), officially concluded on May 15, 2025 with an intense Semifinal and Final Round. Carrying the theme “Legal Construction and Justice in the Digital Era,” the event became a platform for Indonesia’s brightest law students to showcase their critical legal reasoning in the digital age.
Following the preliminary round held on May 14, four outstanding teams advanced to the semifinals and eventually competed in the final round in front of esteemed academics and legal professionals.
After a series of high-level debates, the final results were as follows:
🥇 1st Place was awarded to RM. MOERTOJO from Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, who earned the highest score of 1358 points. The team impressed judges with sharp reasoning, a strong grasp of digital law issues, and convincing rhetoric.
🥈 2nd Place went to LEX SPECIALIS from Universitas Brawijaya, with a score of 1323 points, showcasing a progressive legal perspective and thorough analysis.
🥉 3rd Place was claimed by VERITAS AEQUITAS from Universitas Kuningan, with 1298 points, praised for their arguments centered on human rights and technology.
🌟 Honorable Mention (4th Place) was given to VOX JUSTITIA from Universitas Riau, scoring 1293 points, with a solid and passionate performance.
